According to the latest United Nations Emissions Gap Report, global greenhouse gas emissions reached a record high last year, increasing by 2.3% compared to 2023.
The EU was the only major emitter to record a yearly decrease in emissions, cutting them by 2.5%.
This shows that sustained reductions are possible, but global action must accelerate ?
We need greater collective ambition to turn the global emissions curve downward and limit global warming.
